introduction
NORR SYSTEMS is glad to announce that we are one of the approved / endorsed DP Training facility accredited by The Nautical Institute of UK. With the training facility in place, NORR SYSTEMS is able to deliver the Dynamic Positioning training to offshore vessels and their teams of operators under the Nautical Institute Scheme on Dynamic Positioning Vessel Control. Our training facility offers NORR P-Class Dynamic Positioning System. DP training facilities include a two-station DP class 2 Dual redundant Dynamic Positioning System setup for all DP application with a full range of functionality.
Objective
Give the participant further insight, experience and confidence in performing offshore operations under DP control. By the end of the course the participants should have acquired a thorough knowledge of the theoretical and practical aspects of DP operations. The participant should be capable of planning and conducting any DP operation, including risk assessment, contingency planning and assessment of vessel capability. The participant should be able to undertake the operation with due regard to all circumstances of seamanship and operational requirements. The participant should also be able to react correctly to any circumstances which could lead to catastrophic failure or which would constitute a catastrophic failure itself.
